Chief of Staff
Stephanie Henry is a New York native with a passion for travel and commitment to her community. Stephanie graduated from Providence College in 2015 as a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar, where she pursued a major in Sociology and Business Studies. Upon graduation, Stephanie dedicated a year of service with City Year, where she both taught and learned from an amazing group of students in low-income neighborhoods. She joined the Empact team in November of 2017 with the intention of engaging in meaningful work that will positively impact humanity for generations to come.
International Business Development
Caroline joined in October as a consultant, working towards full-time, and is based in London. She is responsible for Empact's business development outside of the US. Previously, she spent 13 years in finance in various research and fundraising roles. Most recently, Caroline was a Principal at Blackstone where she was responsible for raising capital in Europe from the largest global private banks, wealth management firms, and family offices. Prior to joining Blackstone, Caroline worked at Permal Investment Management Services Limited as a Vice President of Sales Europe, Gracie Capital Investment as a Research Associate, and at UBS Financial Services Inc. as a Marketing, Strategy and Communications Associate.
Product Marketing & Growth
After graduating pre-med and traveling for 2 years, Alex landed in NYC. Since then, he has been working on people-centered data-driven products and projects that push the boundaries of "business as usual". Most recently, he helped grow the Smart Cities NYC expo, establish product-market fit for a behavioral AI company, and launched a creative company called Morning Sloth. As the Product Marketing & Growth lead at Empact, he is ensuring customer success and scalability. Alex values global thinking (we're all in this together), local production (we all have a stake in the game), creativity & collaboration, and living in the flow state.
Abby graduated from Princeton University, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A in Philosophy of Religion. Her coursework focused predominantly on the cross-section of religion, politics, and critical theory. Abby’s Senior Thesis, which received the Class of 1996 Departmental Award for Religion in the Americas, examined the role of religion in recent resurgences of nationalism and populism within American politics. Abby has also spent extensive time at Cambridge University conducting independent research. She joined the Empact team in 2018.
Ben is a graduate of Princeton University where he majored in Mathematics and was a member the Men’s Heavyweight Crew. At Princeton, his independent work focused primarily on Machine Learning algorithms, culminating in a senior thesis titled “Variational Autoencoders: Finding a Foundation for ML Advances in Density.” Prior to Empact, Ben headed a startup mobile app development company built to analyze rowing machine data. As a quantitative strategist on our team, Ben aids in company growth and business development through the application of data science.
